Applying for Austria´s Best Receptionist Competition

The Competition:

Austria’s Best Receptionist consists of one competition where you will pit your skills against other receptionists from all over Austria. The winner will be awarded the prestigious Swarovski Kristallwelten Trophy and will go on to represent AICR Austria at the World’s Best Receptionist Competition, where they will compete for the esteemed David Campbell Trophy.

First Stage

Your completed application form must be returned before the application deadline. All important information will be shared within the network in a timely manner. Applications may be returned to .

Second Stage

Successful applicants need to be available for a complaint handling workshop and a written exam approximately two weeks before the main competition. The top 10 will advance to the main competition.

Third Stage

On the main competition day, candidates will showcase their skills in a role play with a typical front office scenario. Additionally, they must impress the jury in a group assessment center and through back office tasks.

Gala Evening and Award Ceremony

All candidates must be available on the evening of the competition date for the announcement of the winner of the Swarovski Kristallwelten Trophy.

The Winner of Austria´s Best Receptionist will attend the AICRExperience and represent AICR Austria at Worlds Best Receptionist Competition.

Terms and Conditions

• The person putting you forward must be a paid up member of the AICR Austria and currently work at the same hotel.
• All applicants must hold a permanent contract with the nominating hotel and have to be employed as a receptionist or similar throughout the duration of the competition. Placement students are not permitted to enter.
• Please be aware that you will need to be available to attend various stages of the Austrian competition
• One candidate only can be nominated per hotel.
• The candidate is required to attend the competition on the dates mentioned and if he/she wins will be required to attend the Worlds Best Receptionist Competition.
• The winner’s hotel agrees to host the Austria’s Best Receptionist Competition the following year at its own expense or to cover the costs if the competition cannot be held at their own property.
