The aims of the Amicale are:
-to establish contact between the sections (heretofore and hereafterformed)
-to preserve and foster fraternal sentiments among its members
-to supervise and arbitrate any important decisions of the sections. For its part, the International Committee shall submit to the sections details on any important decisions it has had occasion to make
-to facilitate and strengthen the professional relationships between members, and to promote and publicise the importance of their profession.

The administrative address is at the professional or private address of the International President. This address may be changed by simple resolution of the International Committee.
The duration of the Amicale is unlimited.
The Amicale consists of:
· Members actively engaged in hotels, in conformity with Article 6, or who were so engaged at the time of joining, and who have paid their annual dues to the national Section
· Honorary members, proposed by each Section, and whose nomination has been accepted by the International Section
· Benefactor Members (See attached Rules & Regulations for Benefactor Members)
· Sponsors (no voting rights)
· Honorary members are exempt from payment of dues.
6: MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT
To be admitted as a member of the Amicale one must hold a position in Front Of House Management or as Assistant Manager during the time of application, in a de-Luxe or First Class hotel or club or service apartments offering accommodations. Membership applications are submitted, in writing, to the section of the applicant's choice, and accepted by the section, provided that it is satisfied that the membership criteria have been met.
The International Committee has the discretion to grant membership to an applicant not fulfilling the above criteria if it believes that the applicant will contribute valuably to the association.
7: MEMBERS´ OBLIGATIONS
Active members undertake to:
attend Regular and Special General Assemblies (in person or by proxy)
attend working sessions
facilitate and promote the Amicale's aims and development
8: RESIGNATION OR EXPULSION
To cease being members of the Amicale, without ending the existence of the Amicale itself,
a member must send a written resignation to the President of his/her section for the resignation to be accepted
the Amicale reserves the right to remove from membership any member for any infringement of the Statutes of the Amicale, or for other serious reason. The national Committee will give the member fifteen days notices, in writing, to explain his/her conduct, either orally or in writing.
those members who have not paid the annual dues six months after the required date for payment.
Right of Appeal: The expelled member may, within fifteen days of such notification, appeal, in writing to the President of the International Amicale for reversal of the decision. The International President convenes a meeting of the International Committee to consider such an appeal, the expelled member having been invited to attend the meeting, in writing to the president eight days in advance thereof.
9: PERSONAL LIABILITY
No member of the Amicale is personally liable for its commitments only the Amicale is responsible, limited to it's assets.
The assets of the International Amicale consist of:
Percentages of dues paid over by the National Sections
Gifts / Donations & Sponsorships
Subsidies which it may receive
Interest on and income from assets and securities which may hereafter be acquired by the Amicale
The reserve fund consists of:
savings realised on the annual budget
the buildings needed for the Amicale's operations. The said savings shall be invested by the treasurer, in government bonds or government guaranteed securities, registered in the name of the Amicale.
11: ACCOUNTING PROCEDURES:
Current accounts of income and expenditure are kept by the International Treasurer, who presents them to the Presidium and General Assembly for approval each year. The International fee, fixed in Euros, is the same for each member of each section. Sections must send to the International Treasurer, before 31st January each year, the amount corresponding to the number of their members from the previous year. With the exception of the dispensations set out in Article 5, no exoneration will be accorded without the prior agreement of the International President.
All disagreements are to be settled by the Presidium, by a required majority of two thirds of its members, the vote of the International President and International Treasurer must be included. The International President may, after consultation with the International Committee and the Presidium, put to the General Assembly for approval, any proposal for modification to the International fee.
12: INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE
The International Committee consists of 7 to 11 members: elected for a two year term, over the period between two regular General Assemblies. The President and Vice President(s) must, at the time of their election, be actively working in a Front Of House Management position not exceeding the position of Hotel Manager and be a current member of the amicale.
The President is elected during a General Assembly, by a majority of the members present or by proxy, either by secret vote or by a show of hands.
The President must then choose the members of his/her committee and allocate their functions
The President may present his/her committee to those members taking part in the General Assembly, for the choice of persons and their functions.
In the event of the death or resignation of one or more members, the President, after consultation with the committee, chooses replacements for the duration of the President's mandate.
The International President pursues the objectives of the Amicale and its expansion. The President is seconded by one or more Vice Presidents, as well as by other members of the committee, and in particular by:
The International Secretary, in charge of everything concerning minutes of meetings, reports, correspondence, archives, etc., administrative questions and relations with all national Sections
The International Treasurer, in charge of current accounts and management of the assets of the Amicale. The International Treasurer may not, however, dispose of assets constituting the reserve fund, without the authorisation of the presidium;
a) The International Treasurer receives the share of the dues which all sections must send by 31st January each year, in conformity with Article 11.
b) The International Treasurer keeps proper records of the financial transactions, and reports to the President, members of the committee and the Presidium, and finally to the General Assembly, which after verification and certification by the official auditor approves The International Treasurer's financial management.
The secretaries assisting the President and other members of the committee, as required. All decisions by the committee are taken by a majority of votes.
14: POWERS OF THE PRESIDENT
The President convenes and chairs all membership and committee meetings. He represents the Amicale at all times and has full authority for this purpose. In particular, the President is empowered to represent the Amicale in court and court pleadings, both as plaintiff and as defendant, to take all appeals, and to apply for all writs of review and agree to any compromise. In the case of appeal, the President may act with the approval of a majority decision of the committee. In the event of absence or illness, the President is replaced by a Vice President, and in the event of the latter's absence or illness, by the International Secretary.
In the event of division, the vote of the International President is deciding.
15: THE PRESIDIUM
The Presidium constitutes the Board of Directors of the International Amicale. It consists of:
The International President, who chairs and convenes the Presidium
The International Vice President or Vice Presidents
The International Secretary
The International Treasurer
The International Public Relations Secretary
The David Campbell Trophy Organiser
The Membership Co-ordinator
The President of each section (member or affiliated), regardless of number.
In the event of unavailability of a Section's President, he or she may nominate a qualified member of his/her committee to represent him/her. If necessary, the official auditor may be asked to attend the meetings.
A presidium meeting has to be held every year.
16: EXPENSES INDEMNITY
When the International President convenes the Presidium, the International Amicale may reimburse the travel expenses of the International Committee on the basis of the minimum return fare between two cities (the place of domicile of the participant and the city where the meeting takes place). Where appropriate, the International President, in agreement with the International Committee may accept the reimbursement of any other expenses.
17: INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
The International Congress is convened every two years and chaired by the elected International President. This should take place preferably in a city well known for its hotel and tourist activity, and provide the occasion for:
events and meetings between members, as well as with professional personalities, sponsors etc
a meeting of the Presidium, to examine the proposed agenda for the General Assembly, and consider possible candidates for the International Presidency put forward by the sections
formal acceptance of new sections
the election, or re-election, of the International President, in conformity with Article 12 of these statutes.
18: REGULAR GENERAL ASSEMBLY - QUORUM & MAJORITY
The regular General Assembly of all Members of every section is convened every year, and chaired by the International President. The President sets out the achievements of his/her mandate, as well as projects for the future. A notification, including the Agenda, is sent out to Members by the International Secretary, at least 15 days before the date fixed. Before the Meeting, the Roll is signed by members present, and the names of those who have provided a written proxy are added.
The Quorum is one-quarter of all fully paid-up members present or represented. Decisions are taken by simple majority. The regular General Assembly hears the report of the committee on its management and on the financial situation of the International Amicale. It approves or rectifies the current account, and votes the budget for the coming period. It proceeds with the election of the International President, and signifies approval of, or reservations concerning, members of the International Committee.
19: SPECIAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY
In case of necessity or at the request of the President of a section who has received a written request signed by one-quarter of its members, the International President may, in accordance with Article 18, convene a Special General Assembly.
For valid discussion, one-quarter of fully paid-up Members must be present or represented at the Special General Assembly. Any modifications to the Statutes must be voted by two-thirds of the Members present or represented. Other decisions are taken by simple majority.
20: POWERS OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The Assembly has supreme authority over all questions relating to the smooth functioning of the Amicale International and sections. It gives such instructions as may be necessary to the President, the International Secretary and the International Treasurer, to effect any operation coming within the objectives of the Amicale and not contrary to the Law, for which the dispositions of the statutes may be insufficient.
21: POWERS OF THE INTERNATIONAL COMMITTEE
The International Committee may authorise any action not reserved to the Presidium or to the General Assembly. The International Committee may, following a majority vote, overrule the International President, the International Secretary or any other member from taking an action with which it disagrees and which falls within its prerogative.
22: INTERNAL RULES FOR SECTIONS
A set of rules for the internal administration of all sections, member or affiliated, of the International Amicale, has been drawn up by the International Committee.

23: ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIPS
Colleagues of countries where the AICR is not represented, may apply for associated membership to the International President. A joining fee will be levied as well as the annual fee to be paid to the International AICR.
24: TERM OF OFFICE
The normal term of office is two years. It begins with closure of the congress with election and finishes two years after with the closure of that following congress.
25: INTERNATIONAL WEBSITE /SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK GROUPS
Each national president is responsible to supply to the International President the following information on a quarterly basis:

All other information required by the International President
Anyone who have set-up various networking groups under the AICR banner is to consistently monitor their group site be it discussions, comments, pictures, links etc.. It cannot be used as a political, religion or discrimination platform by anyone. The administrator of these sites is solely responsible to ensure good governance.
The AICR International Committee will have the right to monitor and ensure that all sites bearing the AICR logo or logos used by AICR, name or names used by AICR or in any form connected with the AICR are used in accordance with the law and the AICR values. The AICR International Committee can and will inform the administrator (s) to shut down the group site if it deems damaging to the AICR. The AICR International Committee is either directly or indirectly responsible when the AICR name or its logo or any form connected is used.
The Presidents of each section can use the AICR logo or name on any social media site. Any others (members/non-members/commercial etc) should seek permission from the AICR International Committee first before upload it.
26: DISSOLUTION OF A SECTION
In the event of voluntary or involuntary dissolution of a section, the International President convenes a meeting of the Presidium and the official auditor, to take action on the transmission of the section assets, which revert to the International Amicale. The International President is responsible for all legal formalities.
27: DISSOLUTION OF THE AMICALE
In the event of voluntary or involuntary dissolution of the International Amicale, a special General Assembly is convened, at which the official Auditor is present.
It decides on the disposal of the assets of the Amicale, but may not return to Members other than their contributions
It designates a recognised charitable organisation, which shall receive the surplus assets, after payment of all the Amicale's debts and expenses, and all the costs of liquidation
It appoints one or more members of the Amicale, who shall be given all necessary powers to handle the liquidation.
The International President is responsible for all reporting and recording of formalities required by law.
The court having jurisdiction over all actions concerning the Amicale is the local court of its registered office.
